Noticing Wrinkles Around Your Eyes? 2 Treatment Options

If you are noticing wrinkles around your eyes, these are often referred to as crow's feet or laugh lines. These are common wrinkles to get whether you are a male or female. Fortunately, there are treatment options that will make these wrinkles disappear, two of which are listed below.

Botox Treatment

One common treatment available is getting Botox injections. You can get these injections from a dermatologist and this treatment generally does not take long. This treatment is common because it can be done in a short amount of time and there is no downtime. This means you can visit the dermatologist and then go straight back to work.

Botox is a toxin known as botulinum neurotoxin, which is a type of bacteria. This toxin is in very low doses so it will not cause you any health problems. The dermatologist injects the Botox right below your skin's surface. This prevents muscle activity that will also help remove crow's feet. Botox can also be used for other wrinkles, such as frown lines and forehead lines. You will see the full effect of the Botox treatment in a couple of weeks.

Botox is not a permanent solution, however. You will notice the crow's feet will slowly reappear over time. How long this takes depends on your personal situation. Your dermatologist can give you more information about this. Once the wrinkles come back, you can then return to the dermatologist to get Botox injections again.

Dermal Filler Treatment

Dermal fillers are another treatment that will help with crow's feet.  The fillers are made of hyaluronic acid, which is a sugar that is naturally found in a person's body. They could also be made of calcium hydroxylapatite, which is a mineral that comes from the human bone. There are also biodegradable synthetic fillers made of Poly-L-lactic.

Dermal fillers will add volume to your skin and make your skin appear healthier. Once injected, the filler fills in the wrinkle and makes it disappear. Dermal fillers generally last a long time but is not a permanent solution for crow's feet. Your doctor can tell you how long you should expect this to last for you.

Dermal fillers can also be used to treat other types of wrinkles. They can help with facial lines, forehead wrinkles, lip wrinkles, and more. They can also be used to make your lips fuller and change facial contours.

Your dermatologist can go over these treatments with you in much more detail so you can decide what you would like to do. For more information on Botox or filler injections, contact a professional near you.

About Me

Choosing Procedures That Work For My Body Type

After my wife mentioned that liposuction might help me to get rid of fat from a few areas of my body, I realized that she might be right. Instead of ignoring my health issues and trying to squeeze into my same old pair of pants, I decided that it might be smart to see what I could do about getting cosmetic surgery. I was able to find an excellent surgeon in my area who could do the procedure, and I was really impressed with his credentials. My surgery was a success, and I want other people to know how much cosmetic surgery can do for them.
